Principal cello for the Sarasota Orchestra, cellist Natalie Helm has been praised as having a sound that “catches the attention of the room” and “leaves a lasting impression.” The LA Times proclaimed the audience “was transfixed” by her performance that was “handled ardently.” A cellist of musical grace and extraordinary versatility, Ms. Helm enjoys a dynamic career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and educator. She plays a Raphael di Blasio cello from 1803.
Dr. Joseph Holt has enjoyed a wide-ranging musical career as conductor, pianist, chamber music performer, arts administrator, educator and arranger. This Sarasota resident serves as director of artistic programs for Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota; as artistic director of Choral Artists of Sarasota, Sarasota’s professional choral ensemble; and as director of music at Faith Lutheran Church. Dr. Holt served more than 20 years as principal pianist with The United States Army Chorus, performing for U.S. presidents, dignitaries from around the world, and military officials.
