ASC welcomes back the extraordinary cellist Mike Block, performing this time as part of the uniquely joyful trio Biribá Union. Borrowing its name from a Brazilian wild sugarapple, the musicians of Biribá Union met through Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop, initially bonding over their shared love of Brazilian music. Their original compositions draw on the freestyle theatrics of hip-hop and Go-go music, the effortless beauty of Brazilian forró and choro, the earthiness of American roots music, and the improvisational spontaneity of jazz.

This open seating concert event will be held outdoors at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, weather permitting. In case of rain the concert will move indoors to the Event Center.
Please do not arrive any earlier than 5:00 pm for entry. The entrance for the concert will be at the gate in front of Payne Mansion. Complimentary parking is available inside the LEAF (Living Energy Access Facility) parking garage, which is accessible from Mound St./US 41 and South Orange Ave. Golf carts will be available to assist those who may have difficulty walking from the parking garage to the concert venue.
A cash bar by Michael's on East will also be available. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather and the time of day.
