Spend a morning exploring the upper strata of the sonic spectrum in a delightful program featuring flute and clarinet. Bharat Chandra, longtime principal clarinet of Sarasota Orchestra, has been dubbed
a “rock star” more than once for his extraordinarily expressive playing and witty banter. He will be joined in this program by Baltimore Symphony Orchestra principal flutist Martha Conwell Long. A veteran orchestral flutist, she and Bharat perform every summer as principal musicians of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music. Their program will include works by Mason Bates and Libby Larsen.
