Jason Donnelly, euphonium
Luxuriate in the mellow depths of the gentle giant of the orchestra, the tuba. Nate Seman, Sarasota Orchestra’s principal tuba, has provided a firm foundation for the orchestra’s brass section since 2023. He is joined in this program by Jason Donnelly on euphonium, the tuba’s “baby brother.” They will explore the wide range of music composed for these grand instruments, including works by Castérède, Vaughan Williams, Vladimir Cosma, and Bizet — spotlighting the incredible beauty and variety of sound their mighty voices can produce.
