The award-winning Borromeo String Quartet has been astounding audiences around the globe for over 35 years, having performed at Carnegie Hall, the Philharmonie Berlin, Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw, Seoul Arts Center, and for many years with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Committed to education, they are also the Quartet in Residence at the New England Conservatory. They maintain a reputation as one of the most important ensembles of our time, hailed for “edgeof- the-seat performances” by the Boston Globe, which called it “simply the best.” Their ASC program includes works by Bach, Dvořák, and in honor of the 200th anniversary of his passing, Beethoven’s String Quartet, Opus 127.
“A remarkably accomplished string quartet, not simply for its high technical polish and refined tone, but more importantly for the searching musical insights it brings.” – The Chicago Tribune
