(Sarasota, Florida) Artists Series Concerts of Sarasota presents the celebrated violinist Bella Hristova, Sunday, January 21, 3:00 p.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 7750 Beneva Road, Sarasota.  Joining Hristova is pianist Amy Yang who has been hailed as "a magnificent artist and poet” (The New York Concert Review). The program features work by Poulenc, Ludwig and Brahms. Tickets are $35 and are available online at www.artistseriesconcerts.org or by calling 941-306-1202. Acclaimed for her passionate, powerful performances, beautiful sound, and compelling command of her instrument, Bella Hristova is a young musician with a growing international career. The Strad has praised her performances, stating that “every sound she draws is superb,” and The Washington Post noted that she is “a player of impressive power and control.” Hristova is the recipient of numerous prizes and awards, including a 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant and First Prize in the 2009 Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

“The unique dialogue between violin and piano is a magical combination of intimacy and expression between musicians,” says Joseph Holt, artistic director for Artist Series Concerts. “Bella and Amy are musical artists whose insights into the music reveal depths unparalleled among performing partnerships.”

Holt adds that Hristova is represented by Young Concert Artists, a non-profit organization that has been fostering the careers of young and gifted musicians since 1961. “The organization discovers and helps to launch the careers of exceptional young musicians from all over the world,” says Holt. “We’ve established a meaningful relationship with YCA—and will continue to feature the organization’s artists in years to come.”

Hristova and Yang will also participate in Sarasota Institute of Lifetime Learning’s “Music Mondays” with Edward Alley in Sarasota on Monday, January 22, 10:30 a.m., at Church of the Palms, 3224 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota; and with Joseph Holt, the same day, 3:00 p.m., at Venice Presbyterian Church, 825 The Rialto, in Venice.
