Individual Giving

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota is comprised of individuals who are passionate about reaching young people to instill in them a love of music, an abiding appreciation for the talented artists who bring performances to life, and an understanding of the myriad opportunities for employment that exist in the world of the arts. Our mission is to promote excellence in live musical performance by featuring acknowledged stars of the next generation and introducing young people to musical experiences including educational outreach and competitive music scholarship programs. Since 2011, through our performance-based, in-school outreach programs, Artist Series Concerts has partnered with area schools to create unique music experiences and learning opportunities for students and educators. This initiative brings professional musicians and groups, many of whom are acclaimed nationwide, to area schools for approximately 20 sessions each academic year— inspiring young minds through events that include interactive demonstrations, live performances, and master classes.

Your generous support provides vital funding for these outreach programs. It has also allowed us to encourage young musicians through competitive scholarship programs, which have awarded more than $375,000 in scholarships to 140+ career-potential young musicians. Our Suncoast Music Scholarship program is a competition that awards $10,000 annually to young musicians from high schools specifically within Sarasota and Manatee counties. Our statewide competition is for college students between the ages of 17-22. Each year the musical focus of this competition varies. When you give to Artist Series Concerts, you become a critical part of these important programs.

Artist Series Concert’s supporters enjoy special invitations, discounts and access to artists that bring them closer to the music and the artists.
